Less Homework, Yes

Some students who get lots of homework also get things taken back. Such as having fun at home after coming back from a hard day of school, not liking school anymore, no time to hang out with friends, or even no time to watch t.v., use the internet, or play the d.s. etc. I adore school but as soon as I come home, I have to finish a tremendous amount of homework. It takes approximately two hours to finish my homework each school day, especially since I always take breaks. Let kids be kids without coming home with a big stack of homework to finish.
Did you know that all of this homework is now causing some students to get sick? Well, it is and that is really bad. Since too much homework assignments are given, the students are getting lots of school related headaches, stomachaches, sleep problems, and depression than ever before. A lot of pressure and thinking is being held because of all the hard and confusing problems on their homework. The students strength, natural curiosity, and love of learning is being weak and not strong. Other people who disagree with me would say, students should learn and homework is a huge part of learning. Getting sick is usual, plus, it doesn’t have to mean the students got sick cause of school. This is wrong because a professor of psychology at the City College of New York studied and examined this and the results were students got sick because of the homework.
Students throughout the world who get lots of homework get family time and enjoyment taken back. Did you know that students got so much homework in elementary school that they couldn’t take any breaks or simply just enjoy the evening? Those poor little kids, they were only in elementary school. Some students in all grade levels get lots of homework during the holidays and breaks. Even then on the holidays they could not enjoy their time with family. I think this part is really wrong because breaks are for enjoyment and school free. Instead of enjoying, you’d be doing your homework. Others would say, family is with you all the time and you go to school only eight hours. This is wrong because too much homework is being given that even if family is with you, you have to focus on your homework.
Too much homework is been given that students can’t attend other activities. (Playing instruments, athletic sports etc.) When this happens, students can’t do or learn anything besides their big stacks of homework. Most activities involve staying healthy such as sports. Without doing these activities, we won’t stay that healthy. Staying healthy is really important for both parents and kids. People who disagree would say, homework is more important than activities. I disagree because learning new things is important too. Without learning new things, you wouldn’t be able to do other things since you’ve never tried it.
All in all, too much homework should be banned from schools. With this rule, students would not get sick, get family time and enjoyment, and would get to attend other activities. At this moment, the whole day is spent with learning new things at school and homework at night. Kids don’t have the time to be free and out of the school session. I hope you understand what I am trying to say. When thinking about the homework tomorrow, make sure its less instead of a lot!

CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS AFTER THANKSGIVING!

The holiday season has finally appeared. First, comes Thanksgiving in November and then comes Christmas in December. They are both astonishing holidays that I adore! Lot of people put their Christmas decorations up before Thanksgiving even comes. Some people agree to doing that and some people don't, I am one of the people who don't agree to that.
Well, Thanksgiving is a time to be grateful for things not to play Christmas songs and waste your time putting up Christmas decorations. If you want to put any decorations, you might as well just put up Thanksgiving decorations. This time of fall should be spent with family and having an awesome day. It should not be a day thinking about Christmas. also, the radio shouldn't be putting Christmas carols such as "Walking in a Winter Wonderland". They should be putting Thanksgiving songs.
On the other hand, some people have really important jobs and work to do. They can't waste their time and they have to spend it wisely. Those people who spend their  Thanksgiving time on Christmas decorations are wrong. What about the weekends? You can spend your weekends doing some or few Christmas decorations. Also, let Thanksgiving pass first and then do stuff for Christmas. It isn't like the world is ending tomorrow. Now you know what to do, if you are one of those people who put up Christmas decorations before Thanksgiving.
All in all, I am trying to say you should put up Christmas decorations after Thanksgiving. You don't want to miss a holiday that comes only once every year. Hopefully, you follow what I say next year!!!!

My Gift For Christmas This Year

The holiday of Christmas is only coming up! On the night of Christmas, Santa Claus comes to town and gives everyone precious, delightful, and loving gifts/presents. As a wish for my present this year, i am requesting Santa to put a brand, new ipad under my Christmas tree. I know and can prove to you that I'm worthy for getting this astonishing gift.
Currently, I have an ipod at my house. I use my ipod to listen to songs and play games such as "Brick" when I am bored or tired.  However, an ipad would be much easier to handle. Also, my sister and me are always arguing about who should get to use the ipod first. Once I get an ipad, my sister and me won't argue which always leads to fighting in the house.
As you can see, I am worthy of getting this admirable gift in many ways. I am certainly really focused, concerned, and serious about my education because I would ruin my future life. If I stick on getting a good education, I can be successful when i grow up.  I also get really good grades in all classes. If Christmas wouldn't be coming up about a month from now, I would have taken my parents to a store and bought it with my own money that I have been saving for about four months now. as you can see, I am really desperate and looking forth to getting an ipad.
i know at this time of year, you are engaged at work with a bundle of requests from people throughout the world. With many wishes of mine, I chose this one because it is the most important one of all and I like it the most! Once again I know you will be really busy so whether or not you are going to bring this gift i have chosen, thank you for all the gifts you have given in the past!

The First Thanksgiving

The first Thanksgiving was celebrated in 1621, to commemorate the harvest reaped by the Plymouth colony after a harsh winter. In that same year, govoner William bradford proclaimed a day of Thanksgiving. The colonists celebrated it as a traditional English harvest feast. Thanksgiving was celebrated throughout the colonies after fall harvests. all thirteeen colonies didn't however celebrate Thanksgiving at the same time until October 1777. George Washington was the first president to declare the holiday in 1789. By the middle of the ninteenth century, many other states also celebrated Thanksgiving. In 1863, president Abraham Lincoln appointed a national day of Thanksgiving. since then, each president has issued a Thanksgiving Day proclomation, usually at the forth Thursday of each November as a holiday!!!!!!!!

gratiude

Everyone is grateful for at least one thing in their life, on the other hand, I am grateful for many things. The most important thing I'm grateful though is my excellent and awsome parents. They do so much for me and I will always appreciate them. For example, if I get in trouble by my parents, it doesn't mean they dont love me anymore. I got in trouble for a reason, obviously no parents would yell at their kids for no reason. All in all, I'm really grateful to have such awsome parents!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Halloween

Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is Halloween on Sunday! I can't wait, my favorite part of Halloween is going TRICK-O-TREATING. I go trick-o-treating at 5:00 or 5:30. I go with my friends and we have lots of fun getting candy. This time only comes once a year so I always have as much as fun as I can. Whenever I go trick-o-treating, I always start eating my candy whenever I get it. I love candy! The bad part is that it makes your teeth get cavities which is bad. Then you have to go to the dentist where you will get your tooth pulled out. That hurts a lot so watch out for the candy. Even though I am saying this rightnow, on Halloween night I won't be able to control myself and I am 100% sure that I am going to eat a lot of candy. A little candy is okay but not a lot. Anyways, HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!!!!!

Patriotism Means Everything To Everyone

 “Patriotism Means Everything To Everyone”
Does patriotism still matter? Back it up and ask that question to yourself. Well people might think patriotism doesn’t matter but it does. I have enjoyed many freedoms of being an American citizen! Look back and think about all those military soldiers and patriots who have saved this world. Our world would never be like this without the military soldiers and patriots, the people who had made this world freedomly and independent.
When I see the red, white, and blue flag it reminds me of those honored patriots and soldiers. The flag which is represented by the thirteen colonies and fifty states. On the other hand, when I see the liberty bell, it reminds me of liberty and freedom. Every symbol, even a tiny symbol could be a symbol of patriotism.
There is freedom in our earth and everyone should be thankful and proud for the military soldiers and patriots. I know day by day, this world changes and twenty years from now the world might be very different. It is all because of freedom. Without freedom, nobody would get to make their own choices, instead someone would make it for them. Love, liberty, freedom, honor, and the flags of different countries mean everything to everyone.
Every time I think about the great military soldiers and patriots who haved saved the universe, I also feel bad for them in a way too. They saved this universe and in exchange they died one by one. We all have atleast one dream that we wish would come true and one day believe it or not, that dream might not be adream anymore. Your dream will come true! All you have to do is believe in yourself, never give up, and work hard. The next day you know it your dream might come true. This is only because of our military soldiers and patriots who fought for a healthy world.
Patriotism means everything to everyone and it always will all because of our honored military heroes and patriots!

Reflecting On Ralph Fletcher's Writing

In English, we are reading five experts of Marshfield Dreams: When I was a Kid by Ralph Fletcher. One thing that was good in each story was they weren't very long so the reader wouldn't get bored. Also, I liked how Ralph Fletcher had many details and different sentences I have never heard before.
In his vignette "First Pen" he states " What words were hidden-unborn, unwritten- in all that unused ink?"( Fletcher, 2005, pg.44) It was really different than other sentences. For example, other authors would just write," What words were not written from this pen." This sentence is boring but the sentence Ralph Fletcher wrote was odd!
In his vignette " Last Kiss" he states " Even though I was confused, one thing seemed clear- my father and I had drifted away from each other in a small but important way, a way that I couldn't explain, not even to myself."( Fletcher, 2005, pg.84) This sentence is really emotinal. Can you imagine a boy who thinks his father and him are drifting away fom each other? This sentence was suppose to make the reader feel sorry-emotinal for the boy.
As you can see, Ralph Fletcher is a really interesting and unusual author. I would really love to read more of his awsome stories!

Trustness

Everyone should be trustful at all times. Lot of people say,"telling one lie will cause the person to tell millions and millions of lies." When you are lying you should always think about this. Suppose someone was lying to their mom or dad that they had gotten an A+ even though they actually got a C on a test. Later they'd ask them another question about it.The next day the teacher said you'd need to sign the test, they would be in trouble. When they would go home and your parents would see it they'd realize you were lying. So the point is sooner or later your lie will come out. If you would tell the truth you would me way less in trouble than making the other person find out you were lying the whole time. Another quote is "If you can't tell the truth don't lie either.Anyways, I think you've got my point now of why telling the truth is more important than telling a lie.
